Ukraine War Impact Kemira to Quit Russian Market
The chemicals company Kemira has plans to exit the Russian market and suspend its local operations in the country. Previously, in March, the company had discontinued its deliveries to Russia and Belarus owing to the Ukraine war.
Helsinki/Finland – Kemira announced a decision to discontinue deliveries to Russia and Belarus on March 1, 2022 due to the Russian military attack in Ukraine and has now proceeded with exit preparations. The full completion of the process will take some time due to the local process and legal requirements. Kemira has 45 employees in Russia. In 2021, Russia represented around 3 % of Kemira’s total revenue with a focus on the pulp & paper sector.
