India, being home to 16% of the world’s population, possesses only 4% of its water resources. Experts estimate the water consumption in India will have doubled by 2030. Therefore India needs substantial investments in the water sector. India with a population density of 333 persons/sqkm and urbanization rate of 25% shows tremendous potential in environment protection and waste management.
