Simple and highly versatile

The Domino G series produces high-quality 1D and 2D codes, text and graphics on porous and non-porous substrates. “When we heard about the new G-series thermal printers, we wanted to try one as soon as possible. We were impressed with the versatility of the G series which is able to print on any substrate, and we also liked its user-friendly features,” said Lisa Lamble who is the Logistics and Production Manager at Mölnlycke Health Care. “I have been at the company for 25 years. The G series is the simplest coding system that I have ever worked with.”

Network-enabled

Domino claims to be the only supplier which offers versatile, fast-drying ink. The network-enabled Domino G series printers have an Ethernet port as one of the standard features, and a single controller can handle multiple print heads. Janet Thorpe, a team leader at the site, added the following observations: “We have no smudging problems with the G series printer. There is no need for maintenance or make-up, and the printer is very easy to take care of. The whole team quickly learned how to operate the printer. They like working with it and they feel very confident. We use the G series printer on our shift every day, and we can quickly switch from ethanol ink to water-based ink without fuss or downtime.”

The G series will print with solvent or water based ink on a wide variety of substrates. This capability was provided with the pharmaceutical industry in mind, and the applications range includes (folding) cartons, sachets, labels and blister packs.
