Siemens has partnered with Portugal-based Galp Energia for digitalizing GalpH2Park. Industry experts emphasize that a complete phase-out of fossil fuels is difficult in today’s world considering technical, economic, and political hurdles. What are your views on this?

Christian Gückel: The energy transition will happen step by step, and there is no single solution for every industry. Where possible, the path is electrification. Where it isn't, low-carbon hydrogen can be a key lever. Siemens’ role is to provide the technology that makes this transition technically feasible and economically viable, with automation and digitalization making each step more efficient.
