EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH, headquartered in Leipzig and with a branch in Cologne, is one of the leading technology-oriented engineering and contracting companies in Germany, and looks back on a history starting more than 100 years ago with Edeleanu and Chemieanlagenbaukombinat Leipzig-Grimma (CLG). Since 2003, EDL has been part of the Austrian Pörner Group.

EDL’s process engineering work focuses on improved and, in particular, sustainable processing of heavy refinery residues and waste oils. EDL offers its own efficient technologies for producing high-quality products, such as environmentally friendly tender oils (TDAE, TRAE) or de-oiled waxes, which significantly increase the competitiveness of refineries.

In addition to this, the focus is on the production of climate-neutral fuels and chemical base materials based on resource-saving processes such as power-to-X (PtX) or biomass-to-X (BtX).

For the customers’ benefit, EDL strives to continuously improve and adapt these technologies. Thus, customers receive economical solutions that meet the highest requirements.
