Leipzig/Germany – The aim of the FCC gas processing plant revamp and the FCC reactor conversion is to increase the yield structure, company speakers explained. The revamp of the alkylation plant is intended to produce more alkylate which is a key component of gasoline to increase the octane number (which, due a higher possible compression, increases the antiknock properties of gasoline engines). The complete revamp shall be executed during a planned shutdown in 2014.
