Self-Sufficient Drum Emptying System Drum Emptying System Now Available With Diverse Control Options

Editor: Dr. Jörg Kempf

The pump specialist Flux-Geräte has conducted further developments on the highly flexible Viscoflux mobile drum emptying system, with which highly viscous, paste-like, non-flowing materials can be transported continuously and gently.

An optional control unit now permits integration into a diverse range of filling processes. For example, an end position cut-off can be integrated into the process device. On reaching a pre-defined media level in the drum, the pumping process is then stopped automatically. External signals from a balance or a fill level measurement sensor can also be processed for use in batch processing. In this way the pump drive can be switched off and at the same time a solenoid valve can be closed, for example when reaching a certain filling weight.

The control unit with integrated Fluxtronic provides even more possibilities for batch processing. Here the Flux processes the incoming impulse signals from, for example, a flow meter or a speed sensor on the pump, and thus controls the switch-off of the pump drive and solenoid valve on reaching the required filling quantity. The filling of this preset quantity can also be triggered via an external start/stop switch.
