Digital Transformation 3D Printer for High-Quality Printing of Format and Spare Parts
Schubert will be showcasing its new 3D printer for high-quality printing of format and spare parts – the Partbox along with a lightline cartonpacker which packs grated cheese pouches into cartons on site at the soon to be held Anuga FoodTec trade show in Cologne, Germany.
In Hall 7.1 at Stand C071, Schubert will be showcasing its solutions to support the digital transformation. On site, a lightline cartonpacker will pack grated cheese pouches into cartons, whereby the cartons are erected and filled with the pouches. Thanks to the two carton blank magazines, the pouches can be packed into two different types of cartons. A GS.Gate industrial gateway enables secure access to the machine and production data. What this means is that the company can carry out remote maintenance and use the data obtained to increase the machine’s performance, states the firm.
The more digital packaging machines become, the more data is generated during their operation. According to the company, with targeted digital services, this wealth of data is turned into hard cash for manufacturers and operators. At the trade fair, the team will be presenting its new digital Care services, which can be used to optimize packaging processes whilst saving resource and costs.
The firm will also be providing information on the high-profile topic of sustainability at the event. For example, visitors will discover how, with support from the experts at the company, the switch to environmentally friendly packaging solutions can successfully reconcile sustainability and cost-effectiveness. The team will also be on site to answer questions about in-house packaging development.
Schubert Additive Solutions will also be presenting a new development in Cologne, Germany. Using its subsidiary’s virtual web platform, manufacturers can produce plastic parts in their own production facilities using 3D printing. The company has developed a high-quality 3D printer for this purpose, which is connected to the platform via LTE and which ensures outstanding printing results. The Partbox enables users to produce the parts they need directly on site, concludes the firm.
