Cairo/Egypt – The cracker comes as a part of Carbon's $ 4.8 billion Tahrir Petrochemicals project in Ain Sokhna, company executives confirmed. Construction is expected to start in 2014, with an estimated duration of 50 months. GE and Carbon will provide technologies including gas and steam turbines, generators, water filtration and desalination equipment and compressors technology.
