Universal HMI Universal HMI With Intuitive Touchscreen Handling
Editor: Dominik Stephan
Oystar developed a universal, simple-to-handle human–machine interface (HMI) panel with a uniform hard- and software structure for all Oystar machines.
The device is handled using a modern multi-touch system aimed at intuitive handling the company says. The widescreen displays range from ten to twenty-one inches in size; machine workflows and current messages are systematically displayed and recognized at one glance. (Picture: Oystar)
The new one size HMI will be used on all Oystar machines from now on. Its uniform structure standardizes the operation of all of the company's machinery, so that users can apply the same operating and navigating concept on several units. Oystar also claims the new interface to be compatible with all conventional fixtures.
The device is handled using a modern multi-touch system aimed at intuitive operating, the company says. Machine workflows and current messages can be displayed and recognized at one glance. “This was a central aspect in the development of the new HMI,” explains COO Markus Ehl at Oystar. “All of the information required by the user is displayed – without losing sight of the overall picture.” Widgets and mini apps can be used to customise the HMI for individual requirements.
