Toray has developed a new variety of regular tow carbon fiber and has decided to build a new carbonization facility for mass production at the Mexico Plant (Jalisco) of its US subsidiary Zoltek to cater to the strongly growing carbon fiber demand. The new plant is expected to start production at the end of 2018.
Toray has decided to construct a new PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) compound production facility at the Hungarian site of its US subsidiary Zoltek Companies. It is the company’s first resin compound production facility in Europe and is expected to start operations in March, 2018 with 3,000 tons annual production capacity.
