The deadline is 2050 and the clock is ticking. The world needs to achieve its net zero emissions to limit global warming but what steps are being undertaken to reach the ambitious goal? Globally, there are many countries that have established dedicated policies and projects for slashing their carbon emissions but there is one country in particular that is going all out to make sure that it not only reaches its target of achieving net zero emissions by the said deadline but also does it in the most efficient and optimized manner possible. And that country is the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Although small in size, the Middle East country is leaving no stone unturned for decarbonizing its industries. Be it adopting smart technologies like artificial intelligence in its industrial plants, or producing low-carbon fuels or establishing national policies such as the UAE Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative and subsequently the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy, the United Arab Emirates is doing it all.
