Fertilizer Technip Works on Fertilizer Project in Africa
French based Technip will work on a new grassroots fertilizer project in Gabon, Western Africa. The company will provide design and cost estimates for the project with options for a lump sum turnkey contract.
Paris/France – Technip will be providing engineering works for a grassroots ammonia-urea fertilizer project at Port Gentil, Gabon for Gabon Fertilizers Company, a subsidiary of Olea Investments, Singapore. The project includes a 2,200 metric ton per day ammonia plant and a 3,850 metric ton per day granulated urea plant as well as additional utility and handling facilities. Technip will provide front-end engineering design and a detailed cost estimate for the projects engineering, procurement and construction. The contract can be seamlessly converted to a lump sum turnkey contract, Technip explained. The French company will also assist Gabon Fertilizers Company in its project financing effort.

Through this project, we are very keen to develop strong relationship with Olam International and TATA Chemicals for future developments in fertilizers and in other segments.” The project will be executed by Technip’s operating center in Paris, France with support from the Rome, Italy and Chennai, India operating centers.
