Fiberglass Pipelines Tatneft to Develop New Plant in Russia
With an aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Tatneft plans to increase the use of fiberglass pipelines as compared to metal pipes at its sites. For this, new fiberglass pipelines will be constructed at the company’s new Bavly plant in Russia.

The use of fiberglass pipes compared to metal pipes reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 4.5 - 6 times. In this regard, the Company is planning a large-scale transition to the construction of fiberglass pipelines.
Tatneft will launch three new production lines, two of which will be built on the territory of a new plant in Bavly, Russia. At present, the Tatneft-Presscomposite enterprise in the Yelabuga region has a line with a capacity of 450 km of fiberglass pipes per year. The new production area in Bavly will occupy 6,500 square meters. The design capacity of the enterprise is 900 km of pipes per year. The total production capacity after the introduction of new lines will be 1800 km of fiberglass products.
The launch of the plant in Bavly is scheduled for the end of November 2022. The new project will create 212 new jobs. The recruitment of engineering and technical personnel with further training will begin in March this year.
Currently, design and survey work and preparation of the territory for new construction are underway.
