Subsea 7 S.A. has announced the award of a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by Conoco Phillips Skandinavia for the Previously Produced Fields (PPF) development offshore Norway. The contract was granted under a newly established framework agreement between the two companies.

The FEED study will focus on finalising the technical scope for the proposed subsea development, which is located in the Greater Ekofisk Area, approximately 290 kilometres southwest of Stavanger. Work is set to begin immediately at Subsea 7’s office in Norway.

Pending a final investment decision and regulatory approvals, the operator may exercise an option for a larger subsea contract under the framework agreement. This would include the supply and installation of subsea structures, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF), with potential offshore operations planned between 2026 and 2029.

The PPF project is set to tie back into the existing Ekofisk Complex, aiming to maximise resource recovery from previously developed reservoirs.
