A popular method for recycling CO2 is the use as an alternative coolant — for example in the production of dry ice. “Due to its extraordinary properties, dry ice offers a various range of applications,” explains Ziege. “It has a constant temperature of -78,5 °C (-109,3 °F). It doesn’t melt but evaporates residue-free and inhibits microbial growth.” The recipe for the offgas utilization: A modular plant construction kit, carefully adjusted to every operators need.

Thinking Outside the Box

A long service lifetime, a fully technically sealed construction and easy maintenance are a must for all technical gases plants. But Cryotec goes even further: The company offers an all-around service approach, including remote access and control, surveillance of process parameter as well as equipment uptimes and also helps operators to optimize their maintenance schedule.

Despite their name, the Cryotec specialists can do much more than just cryogenic processes — also industrial refrigeration and cooling are a specialty of the Wurzen based engineers. The modular design ensures not only low operating costs, but is a perfect example of the EPC Group's creed “Ideas inside”. Engineers, Henkel is sure, need to think outside the box — and that, contradictory as it seems, sometimes means to put a process plant into a container module.
