The technology company Siemens and Germany-based Turn2X announced a global partnership aimed at advancing the production of renewable natural gas through a comprehensive technological collaboration. With this partnership the companies want to respond to the market’s growing demand for renewable natural gas as a critical component in achieving a balanced and sustainable energy transition.

Turn2X specializes in producing climate-neutral methane by combining green hydrogen with CO2 captured from bioethanol plants, to create a renewable alternative to conventional natural gas. By joining forces with Siemens’ technology portfolio, the collaboration aims to significantly scale up its production capabilities while optimizing efficiency across the company’s operations.

Under the agreement, Siemens will become the preferred supplier and technology partner for Turn2X and provide a comprehensive suite of solutions from its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. The partnership aims to optimize Turn2X’s green methane production through advanced automation, instrumentation, and digital twin technologies. It also includes energy management systems to support efficient remote plant operation. Standardized solutions and enhanced cybersecurity are intended to support the reliable and accelerated rollout of new facilities.
