The groundbreaking ceremony of Ørsted's first renewable hydrogen project – H2RES was spearheaded by Dan Jørgensen, the Danish minister for Climate, Energy & Utilities. The project is expected to produce up to around 1,000 kg of renewable hydrogen per day which will be used to fuel zero-emission road transport in the Greater Copenhagen area and in Zealand.

The Hysynergy Phase II development comprises a 300 MW electrolyzer and Power-to-X facility which will be established next to the Fredericia refinery in Denmark. The project aims to scale up the production of green hydrogen so that it can be used for zero-emission hydrogen mobility as well as green feedstock to various fuel refining processes.

Nestlé has opened its first Research and Development Centre in Ireland at its existing manufacturing facility in Limerick. The three-year building programme comprised a capital investment of approx. $ 30 million. Korea Petrochemical Ind. Co. (KPIC) has plans to use Lummus Technology’s butadiene extraction technology at its Onsan chemical plant in Ulsan, Korea. On completion, the facility will produce 146,000 MTA of butadiene and generate feed for an existing olefins conversion unit.
