Saudi Aramco and stc have launched a new supercomputer called Dammam 7 which is also claimed to be among the top ten most powerful supercomputers in the world. The new supercomputer is expected to improve Aramco’s decision-making on exploration and investments.

Under a MOU signed between Dow and Zhanjiang EDZ, both the companies will establish the Dow South China Specialties Hub at Donghai Island in Zhanjiang, mainland China. The hub will offer innovative material science solutions and also provide local access to its customers in Asia Pacific.

McDermott has been awarded a technology contract for Map Ta Phut Olefins petrochemical plant in Rayong Province, Thailand. The client is a joint venture company of SCG Chemicals Company Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of SCG, and the Dow Chemical Company.

The large-scale manufacturing facility is expected to have an electrolyzer production capacity of 500 MW per year which can be expandable to 5 GW. Work on the unit will begin in 2022 and will be operational by 2023.
