Asahi Kasei, Microwave Chemical have plans to conduct a joint demonstration project for chemical recycling of Polyamide 66 using the microwave technology. With this project, the firms aim to depolymerize PA66 and directly obtain the HMD and ADA monomers at high yields and a low energy consumption.

Shell has recently reported in its Energy Transition Progress Report 2022 that it has once again met its climate targets and has made progress towards becoming a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050.

Evonik has plans to invest in a pilot electrolyzer at its Herne site in Germany. The project aims to produce green hydrogen as a starting product for isophorone diamine. This new electrolysis technology will also be researched by Siemens for industrial usage.

Bilfinger has been selected by The Lapwing Estate to develop a pilot plant. The new unit will be a part of the ‘reverse coal process’ developed by The Lapwing Estate. The process aims to convert CO2 emissions back into solid carbon while producing food with measurable positive environmental and social impact.

Under an agreement between Cepsa and Fertiberia, both the companies will work together to develop a large-scale green hydrogen plant in Huelva, Spain. With this project, the parties aim to decarbonize their production processes in the region.
