Graforce has launched a new technology called methane electrolysis (plasmalysis) which is capable of converting LNG into CO2-free hydrogen. This technology only requires one-fifth the energy as compared to water electrolysis to produce the same amount of hydrogen.

Air Liquide has plans to modernize two of its Air Separation Units (ASUs) in the Tianjin industrial basin, in China. With this move, the company aims at reducing the carbon footprint of its oxygen production units.

The green hydrogen cluster will be developed in the Valencia region of Spain in order to make the region a leader in green hydrogen production. The project will include production of green hydrogen at BP’s Castellón refinery.

The consortium has been selected by Calpine for a Feed contract in order to develop a carbon capture unit project in Baytown, Texas, USA. The project is expected to capture two million tons per annum of CO2.

In line with the goals of the European Green Deal, Ineos Olefins Belgium has plans to create the region’s most eco-friendly and sustainable cracker project ever at a whooping cost of 3+ billion euros. The landmark ‘Project One’ will be located at the port of Antwerp in Belgium and will make use of the latest technologies to produce ethylene with the lowest carbon footprint in all of Europe.

The UAE and France have plans to launch a bilateral program under which both the firms will combine their expertise to develop opportunities in order to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries including clean hydrogen solutions for mobility. The program will be launched in the background of the Cop28 climate change conference which will be held in Dubai this year.

Calpine has awarded a Feed contract to Technip Energies, Shell Catalysts & Technologies and Zachry Group for its new carbon capture project in Texas, USA. The project is expected to capture two million tons of CO2 annually.

Ineos Olefins Belgium has plans to develop the most sustainable cracker project in Europe – Project One. Expected to have the lowest carbon footprint of all European crackers, the project will be located in Antwerp, Belgium.

Emirates recently conducted a demonstration flight in which one the aircraft’s engines was powered with 100 % sustainable aviation fuel from Neste. Both the parties worked with other partners as well such as GE Aerospace, Boeing, Honeywell and Virent to develop a sustainable fuel that matched the properties of conventional jet fuel.
