Honeywell's Ecofining technology has been selected by BP to produce sustainable aviation fuel at five of its plants around the world. The technology will help the firm to supply 20 % of the SAF market globally by 2030.

Strategic Biofuels has selected Johnson Matthey (JM) and BP’s joint technology for its Louisiana Green Fuels project (LGF) in Louisiana, USA. The project aims to convert 1 million tons of forestry waste feedstock into renewable diesel and is expected to produce 31.8 million gallons of biofuels annually.

Under a cooperation agreement signed between Braskem and Coolbrook, both the parties will work together to implement a pilot project which intends to electrify crackers by replacing the use of thermal energy from fossil fuels with electricity from renewable sources.

Solvay has plans to decarbonize its Aroma Performance plant in Saint-Fons, France with an aim to make the site carbon neutral by 2026. For this purpose, the project will incorporate a new biomass boiler and source renewable electricity from a solar facility.

Under a partnership agreement between both the parties, Brooge Energy and Siemens Energy will develop a 650 MW solar PV plant in order to supply renewable energy to BRE’s green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Exxonmobil has started-up its Beaumont refinery expansion project in the USA which is expected to increase capacity for transportation fuels by 2,50,000 barrels daily. The project is claimed to be the largest refinery expansion in the country since 2012.

Lyondell Basell has commissioned the world’s largest propylene oxide (PO) and tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) facility in Texas, USA. With a capacity of 470 thousand metric tons of PO and one million metric tons of TBA annually, the unit aims at optimizing production.
