Linde under its subsidiary White Martins has plans to build, own and operate a second electrolyzer to produce green hydrogen in Brazil. On completion, the plant is expected to supply green hydrogen to glass manufacturer Cebrace to reduce emissions from their glass melting furnaces.

Linde has entered into two new long-term power purchase agreements for the supply of renewable energy in China. Under the terms of the contract, Linde will secure a total of 320 gigawatt hours per year of renewable energy from Guangdong Energy Group and China Three Gorges Corporation.

With an investment of 22-million-euros, MOL Group has successfully inaugurated a green hydrogen plant in Százhalombatta, Hungary. The plant is expected to produce 1,600 tonnes of clean, carbon-neutral green hydrogen annually and will also reduce the Danube Refinery's carbon dioxide emissions by 25,000 tonnes.

Honeywell has entered into a MOU with The Green Solutions Group Corporation for Vietnam's first green hydrogen plant – the Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen project. Under the terms of the contract, Honeywell will bring to the project its technologies such as project automation design and management, and energy management for energy transition to enable the firm integrate renewable energy sources into the green hydrogen plant.

Fluor has won an engineering, procurement and construction management services contract for the world's first renewable hydrogen-based integrated ‘green steel’ mill in Boden, Sweden. The unit is expected to produce five million tonnes of steel annually by 2030, with up to 95 % less CO2 emissions as compared to conventional methods.

The Finnish research institutes VTT and GTK together with industrial partner organizations are launching the pioneering research project Hydrogen Underground (HUG) focused on underground storage of hydrogen. This initiative represents the first public hydrogen storage endeavor of this scale in the country.

Eneos and Sumitomo have awarded a Feed contract to JGC Corporation for a green hydrogen and MCH production plant in Malaysia. The green hydrogen plant is expected to produce approximately 90,000 tons of CO2-free hydrogen per year for conversion to MCH.

Neste has already shutdown process units at its Porvoo refinery in Finland in order to begin the major turnaround which is expected to start in mid-April and continue until mid-May.
