Neste has collaborated with VTTI with an aim to expand its supply capabilities of sustainable aviation fuel in Europe. The move is part of Neste’s ongoing expansion of global SAF production and supply capabilities.

Neste has successfully completed a major turnaround at its Porvoo refinery in Finland. The company completed a large number of regulatory inspections, maintenance works of some 5,000 equipment, as well as asset improvement initiatives at the refinery. The total investment for the turnaround was approximately 390 million euros.

Results from the Eclif3 study have revealed the impact of using 100 % sustainable aviation fuel in both engines of a commercial aircraft. It shows a reduction in soot particles and formation of contrail ice crystals as compared to using conventional Jet A-1 fuel.
