Engineering firm KBR has secured a contract to offer engineering services for First State Hydrogen, aiming to explore the viability of establishing the U.S. mid-Atlantic's first clean hydrogen production plant powered by renewable energy.

The move follows the company receiving nearly 136 million dollars in federal Section 48C tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Neste has collaborated with VTTI with an aim to expand its supply capabilities of sustainable aviation fuel in Europe. The move is part of Neste’s ongoing expansion of global SAF production and supply capabilities.

Neste has plans to merge three of its renewable business units into one Renewable Products business unit under its planned organizational changes. The firm also intends to restructure its functions.

Neste has successfully completed a major turnaround at its Porvoo refinery in Finland. The company completed a large number of regulatory inspections, maintenance works of some 5,000 equipment, as well as asset improvement initiatives at the refinery. The total investment for the turnaround was approximately 390 million euros.
