Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company has joined the methanol fueling project in Yokohama, Japan under which it will work on a simulation of methanol bunkering from Kokuka Sangyo’s methanol bunkering vessel to a container ship operated by Maersk at the Port of Yokohama.

Eni has plans to develop the biorefinery in Livorno, Italy as soon as the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, in consultation with local authorities, issues the Single Authorization and the related building permit. The project is expected to have a production capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year.

The global consortium, including seven companies from different countries, has successfully established a supply chain for the production of a more sustainable polyester fiber. Renewable, bio-based materials and carbon capture and utilization will be used in the production process.

Under an agreement signed between Cepsa Química and the Persán group, Cepsa Química will use 100 % renewable diesel to transport chemical product supplies to Persán. With this move, both the companies aim to avoid the emission of around 126 tons of CO2 annually.

The first product in Sabic’s low carbon product portfolio is methanol. The methanol product offers a lower carbon content and provides the same high-quality product specifications as compared to a traditional one. It also offers CO2 footprint savings.

Under an agreement signed between Linde and Shell, Linde will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of a new 100 MW proton-exchange membrane hydrogen electrolysis facility for the Refhyne II project at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland in Germany.

Under a purchase agreement signed between the two parties, Gevo will supply its low-carbon intensity fuel blendstock to Shell Global Solutions Deutschland for use in motorsports.

SK Energy will begin commercial operations for sustainable aviation fuels at its new facility in South Korea next month. The facility will make use of the advanced co-processing technology as well as bio-feedstocks such as used cooking oil and animal fat to produce SAF and other low-carbon products.

Under a framework agreement signed between Voltalia and Taqa Arabia, both the parties will work towards developing a cluster combining renewable energy and green hydrogen production in Egypt. The project will be developed in two phases and is expected to have an annual production capacity exceeding 130,000 tons of hydrogen in each phase.
