The Associated Gas Upstream Project Phase 2 is a part of the Gas Growth Integrated Project in Iraq which is operated by Total Energies, BOC and Qatar Energy. KBR has been selected by Enka İnşaat ve Sanayi to provide detailed engineering design services for Agup2.

Europe’s largest e-fuel production plant in Frankfurt, Germany has commenced operations. The project Era One is expected to produce up to 2,500 tonnes of carbon-neutral e-fuels annually.

A 54 MW water electrolyzer was recently inaugurated at BASF’s Ludwigshafen site in Germany. The electrolyzer is expected to slash greenhouse gas emissions at BASF’s main plant by up to 72,000 metric tons per year.

Under a cooperation agreement signed between Topsoe, Sasol, Griesemann Gruppe and the German Aerospace Center, all the parties will work together to enable the construction, operations and R&D activities of DLR’s e-fuels demonstration facility for research and production of e-SAF.

Koppö Energia has awarded the FEED for an e-methanol plant using technology from Thyssenkrupp Uhde for a power-to-X project in Finland. The project is intended to contribute to the production of CO₂-reduced fuels.

The Renewable Carbon Initiative has released a report presenting ten policy proposals to accelerate the transition to renewable carbon in feedstocks and materials. With this, the Initiative aims to bridge the gap between innovation and large-scale implementation.
