Clariant, Borealis and Sintef have successfully demonstrated Clariant's advanced pyrolysis oil upgrading technology for circular plastics. The move marks a major breakthrough in advancing circular economy solutions for the plastics industry.

Lummus Technology has invested in Innovent Renewables with an aim to accelerate the deployment of its proprietary tire recycling technology. Innovent’s technology is capable of converting end of life tires into high-value products such as tire pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black, pyrolysis gas and steel.

Under a non-binding agreement signed between Kemira and the Hazer Group, both the companies will work together to evaluate and explore commercial opportunities for the deployment of Hazer’s proprietary methane pyrolysis technology.

Under a joint development agreement signed between BASF and Exxonmobil, both the companies will work together to co-develop the methane pyrolysis technology which will also include the development of a demonstration plant.

With an aim to advance circular aromatics from plastic waste, Biobtx has selected Bluealp as the technology partner for its project in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The Biobtx project is expected to convert hard-to-recycle mixed plastic waste into high-value circular aromatics.
