Under a MOU signed between the Port of Corpus Christi and Howard Midstream Energy Partners, both the companies will work together to convert Howard’s Javelina refinery services facility located in the Port of Corpus Christi, USA into a carbon-neutral hydrogen production facility. The project is claimed to be the region’s first carbon-neutral (blue) hydrogen production facility.

Chevron, Itochu Corporation, Hyzon Motors and Ascent Hydrogen Fund have invested 20-million-dollars in Raven SR. Raven SR’s technology is capable of producing hydrogen fuel compliant with SAE J2719 (the international specification of hydrogen fuel cells) and high-quality synthetic fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The new joint venture Shinsol Advanced Chemicals will focus on the development, production and marketing of electronic grade hydrogen peroxide. The chemical agent will be used in the production of integrated electronic circuits.

Chemours has joined the Hydrogen Europe Association – an association dedicated to the advancement of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. The company will jointly work with the association for developing solutions towards a global hydrogen economy.

Exxon Mobil’s affiliate Imperial Oil has plans to produce 20,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel at a new complex at Canada’s Strathcona refinery. The complex will make use of locally grown plant-based feedstock and hydrogen with carbon capture and storage to meet the low-carbon fuel standards.

Shell has plans to build a 820,000-tons-a-year biofuels facility at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. Once complete, the facility is expected to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.

Linde has signed a long-term agreement with Infineon Technologies to produce and store high-purity green hydrogen as well as other industrial gases at Infineon's Villach site in Austria. Under the contract, Linde will build, own and operate a 2-MW electrolyzer plant which will cater to the company’s semiconductor manufacturing process.

EW Höfe, Alpiq and Socar Energy Switzerland have plans to build an electrolysis facility with a capacity of up to 10 MW in Freienbach, Switzerland. If approved, the facility is expected to produce around 1000 to 1200 tons of green hydrogen, thus making the project the country’s largest production facility for green hydrogen.

McDermott's CB&I Storage Solutions has recently completed the design of a 40,000 cubic meter liquid hydrogen sphere for a major natural gas producer. The conceptual design will play a vital role in supporting a large-scale hydrogen economy.

Plug Power breaks ground for a new green hydrogen production facility in Georgia, USA which is expected to produce 15 tons of liquid green hydrogen daily. With this move, the company intends to continue its aim of establishing the first North American green hydrogen supply network.
