A consortium of six companies comprising Bechtel, GE, GM, Honeywell, Invenergy and Johnson Controls have launched a cross-sector business alliance – Corporate Coalition for Innovation & Technology toward Net Zero with an aim to assist countries meet their decarbonization and climate change goals.

Arcelor Mittal recently held a breaking ground ceremony for its mega decarbonization project at the Arcelor Mittal Dofasco plant in Hamilton, Canada. The sustainable project is expected to lower carbon emissions at the steel production plant by 3 million tonnes.

Technip Energies has won a large contract, which is between 250 million euros and 500 million euros of revenue, for Ineos’ Project One ethane cracker in Belgium. The 1,450 kta cracker will be using Technip Energies’ technologies to reduce its CO2 footprint by less than 50 %.
