With an aim to increase green hydrogen production in the USA, Linde has plans to build its largest electrolyzer in New York, USA. The project is expected to double the company’s green hydrogen production capacity in the country.

Under a joint collaboration between Borealis and Verbund, both the parties intend to produce green hydrogen on an industrial-scale which can then be used for manufacturing fertilizers, melamine and technical nitrogen.

Under a MOU signed between both the parties, CB&I will assess its liquid hydrogen (LH2) storage tank design for the ship while DSME will focus on developing the ship’s design to install the storage tank. The study is expected to help in the development of a large-scale LH2 carrier in terms of future design.

Topsoe has been selected by Ascension Clean Energy as a technology provider for its industrial-scale low carbon ammonia project in in Louisiana, USA. The project will be using Topsoe’s autothermal reforming technology and is expected to produce 7.2 million metric tons of clean ammonia every year.

Plug Power has secured an order by Lhyfe to supply ten 5 MW PEM electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen which will be mainly used by the firm for various mobility applications in Europe, including forklifts and light commercial vehicles.

Cummins has plans to develop the manufacturing facility in Fridley, Minnesota to produce electrolyzers in order to support the country’s green hydrogen economy. Initially, the plant will have a manufacturing capacity of 500 MW every year which can later on be scalable to 1 GW.

Technip Energies together with Monford Group has secured an EPCC contract to develop a green hydrogen plant – Yuri, phase O in Australia. Awarded by Yuri Operations, the project is expected to produce up to 640 tonnes of green hydrogen annually and will be used in the existing Yara Pilbara Ammonia Plant to produce green ammonia.

The Grasshopper Project is a new generation of power plants based on fuel cells (FCPP: Fuel Cell Power Plant). Abengoa, a participant in the Grasshopper Project has started-up and commissioned a demo plant which aims at producing sustainable energy via fuel cells from hydrogen.

Technip Energies has licensed its blue hydrogen technology to LG Chem for its project in South Korea. The new hydrogen plant will be merged with LG Chem’s naphtha cracking complex to convert the firm’s petrochemical pyrolysis complex to a low-carbon process.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ørsted and Skovgaard Energy will work together to develop a large-scale Power-to-X facility in Denmark. The project’s first phase is expected to deliver an electrolysis capacity of 150 MW and will be powered by onshore wind and solar PV.
