KBR’s Pure M green methanol technology has been chosen by Fikrat Al-Tadweer for a biomethanol plant in Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to transform landfill-gas into clean fuels.

Andritz has recently inaugurated a new Electrolyzer Gigafactory in Erfurt, Germany. The Thuringia's Prime Minister Mario Voigt was also present at the event. The new facility will cater to the growing green-hydrogen market in Europe.

The European Chemical Closures & Investments Radar 2022-2025 report, commissioned by Cefic and prepared by Roland Berger shows that chemical plant closures in Europe, has surged sixfold since 2022, reaching a cumulative 37 mt of capacity – or around 9 % of European production capacity – and resulting in the loss of 20,000 direct jobs in the chemical industry.

Technip Energies has won an EPCC contract by Skynrg for the development of a new Sustainable Aviation Fuel production facility in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The facility is expected to produce 100,000 tons of SAF per year by making use of use of the Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids pathway.

Under a cooperation agreement signed between Topsoe, Sasol, Griesemann Gruppe and the German Aerospace Center, all the parties will work together to enable the construction, operations and R&D activities of DLR’s e-fuels demonstration facility for research and production of e-SAF.

Plug Power’s hydrogen plant in Woodbine, Georgia successfully produced 300 metric tons of liquid hydrogen in April 2025. This has set a production record for the U.S. hydrogen industry.
