Technip Energies has been selected by BP for developing a hydrogen production unit at its Kwinana biorefinery in Western Australia. Technip Energies’ SMR proprietary technology will be used to develop the unit.

Sinopec has commenced operations at its green hydrogen pilot project in Kuqa City of Aksu Prefecture, China. The project plays a significant role for the firm as it aims to produce clean energy for the country.

Cipher Neutron and Canada’s University of Alberta have collaborated to carry out advanced research in AEM Electrolyzer Membrane Catalysts which will prove useful for green hydrogen production. The research will be led by Dr. Shiva Mohajernia, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta.

Chevron has plans to acquire Magnum Development which holds a majority stake in ACES Delta – the firm aims to develop an Advanced Clean Energy Storage project in Delta, Utah. With this takeover, Chevron now holds a majority stake in the project.

Under the collaboration agreement between Strategic Resources and Cipher Neutron, Cipher Neutron will supply AEM electrolyzers to Strategic’s Blackrock Project's metallurgical facility in Québec, Canada. The move is expected to accelerate Strategic’s green hydrogen production and explore the production of green steel.

Marubeni, Peru LNG and Osaka Gas have teamed up to carry out a Pre-Feed study for an e-methane project in Peru. Green hydrogen and CO2 will be used to produce the e-fuel.

Advanced Ionics has secured 12.5-million-dollars after closing its Series A funding which was led by BP ventures. Other investors include Clean Energy Ventures, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and GVP Climate.

Qixiang Tengda, a major chemical firm in China, has started sustainable production of propylene oxide at its new complex in China. Evonik and thyssenkrupp Uhde technologies have been used for the project.

Under a MOU signed between both the parties, Cummins and Chevron will further expand their collaboration by working towards hydrogen, natural gas and other lower carbon fuel value chains.
