MOL Group has updated its long-term strategy and now aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 via a smart transition. The updated strategy focuses on renewable fuels, green hydrogen, biomethane and geothermal energy and the firm will spend more than 4 billion dollars on green investments.

The Hytecheat project aims to make use of hybrid technologies for the production of steel with low CO2 emissions. De Nora will supply the new 1 MW capacity Dragonfly on-site electrolytic hydrogen generation system for the project.

Honeywell’s technology has been chosen for developing the world's first commercial scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) project by Eneos. The LOHC solution will enable a safe, more efficient way to transport clean hydrogen over long distances.

A leading South Korean industrial supplier of hydrogen, Approtium has selected Topsoe’s ammonia cracking technology, H2retake for converting low-carbon ammonia (blue ammonia) back into hydrogen at its facility in Ulsan, South Korea. The facility is expected to produce 75,000 metric tons of hydrogen every year.

OMV Petrom has plans to develop two green hydrogen production plants at the Petrobrazi refinery in Romania. With a total capacity of 55 MW, the plants will be established with a total investment amount of approximately 140 million euros.

Honeywell has entered into a MOU with The Green Solutions Group Corporation for Vietnam's first green hydrogen plant – the Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen project. Under the terms of the contract, Honeywell will bring to the project its technologies such as project automation design and management, and energy management for energy transition to enable the firm integrate renewable energy sources into the green hydrogen plant.

With this acquisition, Repsol has plans to enter the biomethane market. The agreement between Repsol and Genia Bioenergy includes 19 of its biomethane plants which are under development, with a total capacity of 1.5TWh per year, which will generate renewable gas from agricultural and livestock waste in Spain and Portugal.

The European Commission has officially notified Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies’ ‘Green Hydrogen@Blue Danube’ project for the Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI). The project utilizes the LOHC benzyltoluene for safe and efficient transportation of green hydrogen to industrial off-takers in the region.
