Aramco has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 50 % stake in Air Products Qudra’s Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company. With this move, Aramco aims to contribute to the development of a lower-carbon hydrogen network in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company has joined the methanol fueling project in Yokohama, Japan under which it will work on a simulation of methanol bunkering from Kokuka Sangyo’s methanol bunkering vessel to a container ship operated by Maersk at the Port of Yokohama.

Located in Budenheim, Germany, the new facility will produce green hydrogen and fuel cell components. The unit will also produce low-iridium-loaded catalyst coated membranes, a key functional part for proton exchange membrane water electrolysis.

The Finnish energy company Helen has chosen Sweco as its EPCM partner to develop its first green hydrogen production plant in Finland. The project is expected to begin in 2026 and will supply hydrogen to the heavy-duty transport sector.
