HIF Global has entered into a land reservation contract with the Port of Açu to develop an e-methanol project in Brazil with an aim to produce up to 800,000 tons per year of e-Methanol.

Shell has selected KBR’s blue ammonia technology for its Blue Horizons low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia project in Oman. The project is expected to produce 3,000 metric tons of ammonia per day by utilizing hydrogen produced by Shell’s Blue Hydrogen technology.

Clariant’s deoxygenation catalyst from the Envicat Green series will be used to remove trace oxygen from green hydrogen produced at the facility, before conversion into green ammonia.

Grupo Fertiberia chose Thyssenkrupp Uhde to reduce the carbon footprint of its existing ammonia plant in Puertollano, Spain. With this move, Thyssenkrupp Uhde aims to partially convert production from grey to green ammonia by injecting green hydrogen.

Under a long-term contract with Wanhua Chemical Group, Air Liquide will invest close to 60 million euros to take over and operate the Group’s Air Separation Unit in Yantai, China. With this move, Air Liquide will start supplying industrial and medical gases in the city of Yantai and also reinforce its presence in the region of Shandong.

Avina Clean Hydrogen has selected KBR’s sustainable aviation fuel technology Puresaf for its US facility which aims to produce 120 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel per year. KBR will also provide front-end engineering design for the facility.

OCI Global has plans to sell its under construction Clean Ammonia project in Beaumont, Texas to Woodside Energy Group for a total consideration of 2.35 billion dollars. The OCI Clean Ammonia project is claimed to be the world’s first large-scale and low-carbon intensity hydrogen-based greenfield ammonia facility.

EET Hydrogen Power, Europe’s first hydrogen-ready combined heat and power plant will be developed at Essar Energy Transition’s Stanlow refinery in the UK. With this project, EET Fuels’ aims to become the lowest carbon process refinery globally and EET Hydrogen aims to become the leading low carbon hydrogen producer in the UK.

German utility EWE has awarded Siemens Energy with a contract to supply a 280-megawatt electrolysis system in Emden, Germany. The project is expected to provide up to 26,000 tons of green hydrogen annually for various industrial applications in the region.
