Petrofac’s EPS business has won an engineering and project management office support contract for the Acorn project. Under the terms of the agreement, the firm will provide project management systems and technical support during the Feed for Acorn CCS and the concept select for Acorn hydrogen.

The start-up completes the first phase of the Pyeongtaek project in which industrial gases will be supplied to Samsung Electronics' semiconductor facilities in South Korea. The project is Linde's largest single electronics investment on BOO basis.

Repsol’s first project includes construction of one of the largest net zero emissions synthetic fuel production plants in the world while the second one involves building a plant for generation of gas from urban waste.

Under the long-term agreement, Nutrien will supply anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to Arkema for the production of high added value polymers, fluoro-derivatives and fluorogases in the USA. Arkema will also invest 150 million dollars in a 40 kt/year AHF production plant in North Carolina.

Linde has leveraged its technology in order to sign a new long-term contract with India’s largest refiner, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL). Under the agreement, Praxair India, a subsidiary of Linde, will construct an air separation unit on BOO basis and supply oxygen and nitrogen to IOCL’s Paradip refinery in Orissa.

Clariant Catalysts has doubled the capacity of its high-throughput R&D center in Palo Alto, California. The facility has incorporated high quality equipment and will also invite additional technical experts to the center.

The new process is expected to reduce CO2 emissions for ethylene production by 80 per cent. The project is considered as a vital building block for the petrochemical industry in the US and across the globe.

The large-scale project will produce eco-friendly fuels for the road, maritime and air transport sectors in Copenhagen, Denmark. On completion, the project is expected to become one of the world’s largest production facilities for sustainable fuels.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wood is in charge of concept selection and early design for the carbon capture project awarded by VPI Immingham. The sustainable project aims to use specialised carbon capture technology to reduce carbon emissions across power and petrochemical facilities.

The feasibility study has been awarded by JX Nippon and will explore options for carbon capture and sequestration as well as blue hydrogen production relating to oil and gas fields in South East Asia.
