Saipem has recently launched Suiso, a technological solution for the offshore production of green hydrogen and the conversion of oil and gas facilities. The solution will be used for the first time in the Agnes project located in the Adriatic Sea.

Claimed to be the largest potassium-fluoride-based plant for halogen exchange (Halex) reactions in the Western world, the Weylchem Group will construct the new facility at its Allessa site in Frankfurt-Fechenheim, Germany.

Uniper has entered into a cooperation agreement with Oman’s strategic green hydrogen project Hyport Duqm to provide engineering services and explore an exclusive offtake agreement of green ammonia. The project’s first phase involves the development of a 250 to 500 MW green hydrogen facility at Duqm, Oman.

Tenova has introduced the new TRKSX (Tenova Self-ReKuperative Flameless) Smart Burner for heat treatment furnaces in the metals industry. The smart burner also helps to maintain NOx emissions well below the strictest future limits.

Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has introduced a scalable system for chemical disinfection. The system is equipped with a compressed air-operated dual-substance nozzle which provides reliable disinfection with hydrogen peroxide and also helps to save costs.

Preem and Vattenfall will be continuing their collaboration on fossil-free hydrogen gas for producing biofuels on a large-scale in the background of a study conducted in spring. The study reveals that Preem’s Lysekil plant in Sweden is ideal for building a 50 MW electrolysis plant for hydrogen biofuel production.

Linde has started up its new liquid hydrogen plant in La Porte, Texas, USA which is the company’s fifth unit in the country. The facility is expected to supply over 30 tons per day of high-purity liquid hydrogen to meet the rising demand.
