With an aim to support decarbonization efforts in Eastern United States, Mitsubishi Power and Texas Brine have joined forces to enhance Mitsubishi Power’s Strategic Infrastructure of Long-duration hydrogen storage solutions across North America.

NGK Insulators has recently announced the ‘NGK Group Environmental Vision for 2050’ along with its Fifth Five-Year Environmental Action Plan, which commences from FY2021. The Action Plan includes initiatives toward carbon neutrality, a recycling-oriented society, and harmony with nature, in line with the Environmental Vision.

Technip Energies has declared the launch of BlueH2 by T.Entm which is the company’s full suite of deeply-decarbonized and affordable solutions for hydrogen production. The green solutions prove useful for refining, ammonia production as well as support diverse industries such as steel, cement, power, olefins and LNG.

Seaboard Energy will make use of Haldor Topsoe’s Hydroflex renewable fuel technology for its 6,500 barrels-per-day renewable diesel unit which is located at its renewable fuels complex in Hugoton, Kansas, US. The company intends to produce renewable diesel from tallow and soybean oil.

Under the Larsen and Lam Climate Initiative, Omni CT’s unique ‘Waste to Hydrogen Product’ technology will be used to tackle the issues of climate change. 35 million dollars will be invested by this Initiative for developing Omni CT’s first commercial production plant in California, USA which will produce negative carbon hydrogen.

Siemens Energy and Messer Group have collaborated to work on industrial green hydrogen projects in the chemical complex of Tarragona, Spain. Messer Ibérica has already delivered three clean hydrogen projects with a total electrolyzer capacity of 70 MW to the Spanish Government.

A study by Cowi and the nova-Institute has been completed for the European Commission. Supported by the University of Utrecht, the study aims at exploring the role and potential of renewable carbon in the economy towards mitigating climate change.

Under a MOU signed between Yara International and Jera, both the companies will work together for production, delivery and supply chain development of blue and green ammonia which aims at decarbonizing power production in Japan.

Uniper has unveiled its plan to establish a national hub for hydrogen in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The ‘Green Wilhelmshaven’ project will include an import terminal for green ammonia–which will be equipped with an ‘ammonia cracker’ for producing green hydrogen—as well as a 410-MW electrolysis plant.

Hitachi ABB Power Grids and P2X Solutions have entered into a partnership agreement. Under the terms of the contract, both the companies will electrify a 20-MW plant which is claimed to be Finland’s first industrial-scale green hydrogen production unit.
