Under a MOU signed between ABB and Axpo, both the companies will jointly work together to develop a pilot green hydrogen production plant in Italy. The goal of the project is to reduce the total cost of producing green hydrogen and make it more affordable.

With an aim to reduce production costs and promote hydrogen as a zero-carbon fuel, Air Products has entered into an agreement with Baker Hughes to develop next generation hydrogen compression. Under the terms of the contract, Baker Hughes will also supply Air Products with advanced hydrogen compression and gas turbine technology for its projects across the globe.

Air Products has plans to develop a new net-zero hydrogen energy complex in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The project is expected to capture over 95 % of the CO2 from the feedstock natural gas and store it safely under the earth.

Skovgaard Invest, Vestas and Topsoe have claimed to develop the world’s first dynamic green ammonia demonstration plant in Denmark. The project has received approximately 13 million dollars of funding from the Danish Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program.

Total Energies and Novatek have signed a MOU for reducing CO₂ emission resulting from the production of LNG. The companies will also work together to develop large-scale carbon capture and storage solutions and explore new opportunities for developing decarbonized hydrogen and ammonia.

With an aim to strengthen their collaboration on offshore wind and renewable hydrogen in Korea, Ørsted and Posco have signed a MOU. Under the terms of the agreement, Posco will help Ørsted to establish 1.6 GW offshore wind projects off the coast of Incheon City in Korea. Both the companies will also conduct feasibility studies on potential collaboration on renewable hydrogen.

Sascha Kleiber from the University of Technology in Austria demonstrated a carbon capture and utilization approach in which magnesium oxide-based catalysts were produced. These catalysts can be used as a marine fuel, electricity and even as feedstock for further chemicals.
