In the "Factory Acceptance Test" (FAT), the planning work of the software engineers meets the simulated plant operation. The program codes from the software engineering must prove their worth here in the actual automation task: process engineers, planners, plant operating companies and automation engineers test the automation tasks in realistic plant operation. Process Automation and Analytics

Korean Industry Sets Sights on Biotech: How Process Analytics goes Gangnam-Style

From shipyards to life-sciences: Automation manufacturers benefit from Korea’s industrial transition – Since the 1960s, Korea has seen an unparalleled transition from an agricultural country to one of Asia’s technology trailblazers. The technological edge secured the “land of the morning calm” a place among the world’s leading shipuilders, cars and electronics manufacturers and plant engineering specialists. After the shipping crisis and the declining crude price, Korea’s multinationals have set their sighths of life-sciences and process engineering. To promote the transition from shipyards to lab-floor, process understanding and state of the art technology are becoming the key enablers.

Diaphragm Seal Monitoring

Double Diaphragm Seals and Break Monitoring – A Safety–Net for Pharma–Production

How double–diaphragm and diaphragm break monitoring technology provides safety for pharmaceutical production plants — By using diaphragm seals, pressure measuring instruments can be adapted to even the harshest of process conditions. Here, a diaphragm separates the measuring instrument from the process medium and transmits the pressure hydraulically. A double-diaphragm design offers a solution for pharmaceutical applications, where the process must remain sealed under all circumstances and the hazard risk for people and the environment must be minimised.
