With the rising demand of green hydrogen in the chemical industry, thyssenkrupp is expanding its production capacity of electrolysis cells which can be used in water electrolysis plants. These plants prove beneficial for producing green hydrogen cost-efficiently. Currently, the company can manufacture electrolysis cells with a power consumption of up to 1 GW annually.

Conoco Phillips has acquired 140,000 net acres in the liquids-rich Montney acreage from Kelt Exploration. With this deal, the company will add over 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent of high-value resource and over 1,000 high-quality well locations to its existing acreage in the region.

The front-end engineering and design (Feed) contract has been awarded by California Resources Corporation. Cal Capture, the carbon capture and sequestration project will be developed at a 550-MW plant in California, USA.

Under a long term agreement, Linde will supply oxygen, nitrogen and carbon monoxide from its hydrogen and carbon monoxide unit as well as a new air separation plant to Celanese. The plants will also supply hydrogen to Linde’s other customers via its U.S. Gulf Coast pipeline.
