JPF Netherlands, the holding company of Jindal Films Europe, has acquired 100 % shares in Domo Chemicals’ Domo Films Solutions Spa (DFS). The move is expected to expand Jindal Films’ business into nylon films.

Located in Couvet, Switzerland, Bristol Myers Squibb’s manufacturing facility will be Wuxi STA’s first plant in Europe. On completion of the deal, Wuxi STA is expected to acquire the Couvet site’s operations and assets.

Ineos Styrolution has entered into a joint development agreement with Polystyvert to convert post-consumer polystyrene plastic into a new, high quality, polystyrene raw material resin. Polystyvert will make use of its patented advanced recycling technology for this purpose.

Mainstream Pine Products has selected Neste Engineering Solutions’ Nexpinus Tall Oil Fractionation technology for its new 90-million-dollar biorefinery in South Carolina, USA. The unit is expected to process 100,000 metric tons of crude tall oil for a wide range of industrial applications.

Nextpharma will be acquiring two of Lonza’s production sites located in Ploermel, France and Edinburgh in the UK respectively. Both the sites produce liquid-filled hard capsules as well as softgels and with this deal Nextpharma intends to develop its technology for lipid based finished dosage forms.

Under a MOU signed between Vow subsidiary Etia and Arcelor Mittal Europe – Long Products, both the companies will jointly work together to construct a biogas plant for the steel industry. Located at Arcelor Mittal Rodange in Luxembourg, the unit will make use of Etia’s pyrolysis technology to reduce CO2 emissions.

The move is part of the European Union-funded Chemchain project which intends to create a decentralized open-source blockchain infrastructure to store and track chemical-related information along the supply chain.

Grön Fuels has selected Haldor Topsoe’s H2bridge bio-hydrogen and hydroflex technology for its new multi-billion low carbon intensity complex in Louisiana, USA. Once completed, the mega facility is expected to produce 60,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel.
