Lyondell Basell has received the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus certification for its cracker in Wesseling, Germany, and European polymer sites. The certificate will help the company in achieving its aim of becoming an industry leader in the production and marketing of recycled and renewable-based polymers.

With this deal, Shell will speed up the commercialization of Lanzajet’s ‘Alcohol-to-Jet’ technology which plays a key role in producing sustainable aviation fuel. Lanzajet is also building the first commercial-scale Alcohol-to-Jet facility in the world in Georgia, USA.

The new compressed biogas plant will be set up at Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, India and will use Praj’s Rengas technology to produce compressed biogas (CBG) from rice straw. The project is expected to process 35000 MT of rice straw as feedstock in order to generate 5250 MT of CBG every year.

Lonza has completed the divestment of two of its sites in Ploermel, France and Edinburgh, UK to Next Pharma. With this move, Next Pharma will be adding the two new centers to its existing manufacturing network.
