Man Energy Solutions has secured the order for four Mega-MPTA trains from Chinese firm Jiangsu Jiatong Energy Co. The trains will be deployed at the company’s PTA production unit in Rudong, Nantong City, Jiangsu province, China.

Jointly owned by Clariant and Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co. (Tiangang), the new production facility is based in Cangzhou, China. With this plant, Clariant aims to expand its presence in the Asian country.

The large-scale manufacturing facility is expected to have an electrolyzer production capacity of 500 MW per year which can be expandable to 5 GW. Work on the unit will begin in 2022 and will be operational by 2023.
