Nextchem Wins Engineering Contract for SAF Plant

Maire Tecnimont’s subsidiary Nextchem has secured a FEED contract by Total Energies for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant in Grandpuits, France. With an expected capacity of 400,000 tons per year of SAF, the facility is part of Total Energies’ plan to convert its Grandpuits Refinery into a zero-crude platform.

Adnoc to Develop World-Scale Blue Ammonia Facility

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) will be building a world-scale ‘blue’ ammonia production facility at the Ta’ziz industrial ecosystem and chemicals hub in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE. With an expected capacity of 1,000 kilo tons per annum, the plant will enable the company to explore opportunities in hydrogen and hydrogen carrier fuels.
