Givaudan’s Protein Hub located at the company’s flagship Zurich Innovation Centre in Kemptthal, Switzerland aims to accelerate alternative protein development. Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty has also announced an 89-million-dollar investment for extending its production unit in Pedro Escobedo, Mexico with an aim to further strengthen its growth in Latin America.

Nouryon has begun production at its new manufacturing facility in China to support the increasing Asian demand of polymers used in the packaging, paint and coatings and construction end-markets. Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has introduced Green KTF, a plant-based microporous film which releases 30% less CO2 emissions during production as compared to the conventional product. About 90% of the film is derived from natural products.

The IRPC Public Company has awarded Wison Engineering with an EPCC contract for a new hydrogen manufacturing unit in Thailand. Once complete, the project will supply hydrogen to the Ultra Clean Fuel Diesel Euro V Project.

The world’s first green ammonia bunkering terminal will be built under the ‘Ammonia Fuel Bunkering Network’ project by Azane Fuel Solutions. The hefty grant has been granted by the Norwegian Government under its ‘Green platform Initiative’ program.

Uponor Infra and Borealis have teamed up to create Ultra Rib 2 Blue, a high-performance plastic sewer pipe made from 50 % renewable raw material which will help to reduce the carbon footprint by up to 70 %. The product is based on Borealis’ Bornewables portfolio in which circular polyolefin products are manufactured with renewable feedstocks.

Under a MOU signed between PureCycle Technologies and Mitsui, both the companies will jointly develop and operate a recycling facility in Japan to convert polypropylene waste into Ultra-Pure Recycled Polypropylene. The move is expected to support the establishment of a circular economy in the Asian country.

Haiwan Chemical has awarded a technology contract and license agreement to KVT for the world´s largest Glycerine based Epichlorohydrin production complex. Scheduled to be built in Qingdao, China, KVT will license its Epiprovit closed loop technology to the facility.
