Chevron has updated its climate change resilience report in which it reveals that it has adopted a 2050 net zero aspiration for equity upstream Scope 1 and 2 emissions. The report also provides details on the firm’s new 2028 greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity target for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

Evonik has plans to expand its plasticizer portfolio by adding new plasticizer products—oxo alcohol INA and INA-based plasticizers Vestinol 9 and Elatur CH respectively—next year. Teijin Aramid has recently announced that it has successfully achieved yarn-to-yarn recycling for its Twaron fiber by using feedstocks from end-of-life materials. A consortium consisting of Yara International, Jera, and Idemitsu Kosan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the establishment of a domestic clean ammonia distribution network and bunkering business, accelerating Japan’s green energy transition.

Sabic has plans to invest a whopping 1.37 billion dollars at the Teesside facility in the UK in order to decarbonize the plant. Venture Global LNG has entered into two long term sales and purchase agreements with Sinopec for supplying 4 million tons per annum of LNG from its Plaquemines LNG export facility in the USA.
