Adnoc Ships Low-Carbon Ammonia to Germany

The shipment from the UAE to Germany marks the first ever demonstration cargo of low-carbon ammonia between both the countries. Germany’s Aurubis, a leading global provider of non-ferrous metals will use the low-carbon ammonia as a feedstock in its wire rod plant in order to meet its decarbonization goals.

Topsoe Aims to Achieve Net-Zero Emissions by 2040

Topsoe has recently revealed its intention of achieving net zero emissions by 2040. The new targets are in line with the Science Based Target initiative (SBTI) Net-Zero Standard and have been announced post the firm made its earlier target of achieving net zero emissions from its own operations by 2030 public.

Total Energies, Air Liquide to Produce Low Carbon H2 at Grandpuits Zero Crude Platform

Under a long-term agreement signed between both the parties, Air Liquide will develop a new hydrogen production unit at the Grandpuits site in France. This unit will partly use biogas from Total Energies’ Grandpuits biorefinery and make use of Air Liquide’s carbon capture technology to produce renewable, low-carbon hydrogen which will be used by the biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel.
