Inpex Corporation has selected BASF’s CO2 capture technology for its Kashiwazaki Clean Hydrogen, Ammonia Project. The project is claimed to be Japan’s first demonstration project for the production of blue hydrogen, ammonia from domestically produced natural gas.

Total Energies and Tree Energy Solutions will carry out the preliminary studies and aim to reach a Final Investment Decision in 2024. The large-scale e-NG production unit is expected to produce 100,000 to 200,000 metric tons of e-NG annually.

With a production of 1 billion cubic feet of hydrogen per day, Exxonmobil’s facility in Baytown, Texas, USA is expected to be the world’s largest low carbon hydrogen plant. Safran Aerosystems has plans to purchase Air Liquide’s oxygen and nitrogen aerospace technology activities, excluding marine-related cryogenic activities. The move is in line with Air Liquide’s strategy of focusing on its key activities to maximize its performance.

With the approval, the joint venture will aim to produce cathode active materials (Cam) and precursor materials (PCAM) in Europe on a large-scale. It will also supply key materials to Power Co's European battery cell factories in the near future.
