Sunhydrogen has teamed up with The University of Texas at Austin – Center for Electromechanics to install, commission, and operate a more than 30 m² proof-of-concept hydrogen production system at UT-CEM’s Hydrogen Protohub research facility.

Under the airlines ‘Low Carbon Skies by Bangkok Airways’ initiative, the company is all set to incorporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel on its commercial flights. The initiative will take effect starting July 1, 2025.

Expected to be installed at the Presidente Bernardes Refinery in Cubatão, São Paulo, the plant is expected to process approximately 950,000 tons per year of plant-based feedstocks and animal fat, generating a production capacity of up to 16,000 bpd of renewable fuels.
