Dupont-Nextera Enter into Virtual Power Purchase Agreement for Renewable Energy

Under the virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA), the Nextera Energy Resources subsidiary will develop the new wind project ‘Appaloosa Run Wind’ in Texas, USA and will deliver the equivalent of 135 MWs of new wind power capacity annually. The move is in line with Dupont’s Acting on Climate goal of reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 30 % and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Orlen Unipetrol to Invest 1 Billion Dollars in Green Projects

Orlen Unipetrol has revealed its development strategy until 2030 which includes the modernization of its chemical facility in Záluží near Litvínov, Czech Republic. In this project, the current boiler plant for the steam cracker’s operations is replaced with a brand-new gas boiler plant and the latest equipment for emission reduction installed at the unit has helped to lower dust emissions by 50 % and NOx emissions by 70 %.
