The technical implementation of Covestro’s unique process is being carried out on a pilot-scale in Leverkusen, Germany. Under this chemical recycling process, plastics can be converted back into their monomers so that they can be fed back into the production process as alternative raw materials.

Under a joint venture agreement between Braskem and SCG Chemicals, both the parties have established a new company called Braskem Siam Company.
